Peter Schwagerl and his wife Anne run a diversified grain farm in Big Stone County. This has included several traditional crops such as corn, soybeans, wheat, and oats as well as newer experimental crops such as Kernza, winter camelina, and a wide variety of cover crops. The overall goal of the farm is to create a diverse cropping rotation that is both ecologically and economically sustainable. Peter also serves as a farm organization representative on Minnesota’s Clean Water Council.
