YESA Community

Youth Experiencing Sustainable Agriculture

Youth Experiencing Sustainable Agriculture

The YESA (Youth Experiencing Sustainable Agriculture) Community is a group for young adults sponsored by Sustainable Farming Association of Minnesota (SFA).

YESA Community’s goal is to give young people opportunities to get involved in and actively support Sustainable Agriculture right here in Minnesota, and to network with others of like mind.

Sustainable Agriculture has a multiplying effect:

  • Providing tasty local food
  • Protecting the local environment (plants, animals, and biomes)
  • Putting money into the local economy
  • Allowing family farmers to thrive
  • Reviving rural Minnesota
  • Providing communities like this!

The YESA Community is a valuable resource for finding out about internships and work opportunities in sustainable farming, marketing, processing, and advocacy; and it’s a great way to keep in touch with all the events going on around the state—like MN Garlic Festival, GrazeFest, Harvest Festival and the many farm tours sponsored by SFA, Land Stewardship Project and other organizations.
