YOUTH ART WORKSHOPS & COMPETITION

YOUTH ART WORKSHOPS!

Bring one to your community for free!

4H, YMCA, churches, camps, home school groups and others: we will present a workshop for your young people in which they will explore the question, "What is your vision for the future of rural Minnesota?" and create artwork about it, which can then be entered in the. . .

MN GARLIC FESTIVAL YOUTH ART COMPETITION

. . . all for FREE!

Workshops are led by Whitney Hohman, an artist and recent graduate of Gustavus Adolphus College, and will focus on sustainability, a healthy environment, vital rural communities, family farms, locally produced foods, and the beauty of Minnesota's countryside.

All skill levels are encouraged, from beginners on up. Whitney will gear the workshop for your particular age group, and will provide materials.

The participants will create a drawing or painting during the workshop that they can immediately enter in the Youth Art Competition. All works will be on exhibit at MN Garlic festival in the Arts Gazebo on August 16, 2008, and awards will be presented that day.
