Learn how to solve problems and avoid risks by attending the 2018 SFA Midwest Soil Health Summit, featuring Dr. Kris Nichols, Dr. Allen Williams and many other venerated soil health experts Feb. 14-15 at Bigwood Event Center in Fergus Falls, Minn.
The conference begins promptly at 1 p.m. Feb. 14 and runs through evening reception. Hours are 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m. on Feb. 15.
In addition, space remains for our special “Chat With Kris @ MSHS” event, set for 9:30-11:30 a.m. on Feb. 14. Limited to 20 registrants, “Chat With Kris” is roundtable discussion where attendees will have ample time to ask Dr. Kris Nichols their burning questions. Cost is $40; choose the “Chat With Kris @ MSHS” option during conference registration.
Also not to be missed at the Summit, SFA and the Pasture Project will release years-in-the-making research data that looks at the cost and benefit of adding cover crops and livestock and includes participating farmers in Minnesota and Iowa. A farmer panel will ensue that includes Grant and Dawn Breitkreutz, Dan Jenniges, Scott Haase, and Pasture Project leaders. Highly recommended.
Also returning are the popular discussion tables, where speakers gather for small group discussion. Past attendees know these tables alone can be worth the admission price for the direct interaction involved.
Cost is just $100 for current SFA members and $150 for nonmembers; dinner on Feb. 14 and lunch Feb. 15 are included.
