Highlighting sustainable living in the Northwoods, the 24th Annual Lake Superior Harvest Fest will take place, rain or shine, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sat., Sept. 9, in Bayfront Festival Park in Duluth. Celebrating local food, energy and community, this FREE family friendly event features a giant farmers market, music, food, craft vendors, and educational opportunities in the renewable energy and community organizations tents.
This year, Duluth’s biggest farmer’s market event features expanded skill demonstrations and crafters – learn about planting garlic, traditional skills, composting and recycling; test out electric bicycles; see electric cars and solar hot water panels; enjoy the music of Rigadoo, Woodblind, Red Tide, Crystal City and Skrunch Brothers.
The festival strives to be a zero-waste event; limited free parking is available.
Info and updates will be posted as the festival nears at sfa-mn.org/harvest-festival.
